At The Light, we are committed to offering a great cinema experience to everyone.
of our screens have wheelchair spaces and lift access, as well as an
escalator, allowing everyone to easily access all of our screens.
We run regular autism-friendly screenings. These are great if you find the usual cinema experience a bit overwhelming. We turn the sound down, keep the lights on a little bit and nobody minds if you make some noise or need to move around. You can find out more HERE.
We have subtitled screenings every week that are easily found in their own section of the website HERE.
If you are visually impaired, we offer audio description headsets. These are compatible with the majority of films we show.
baby friendly screenings
Parents are welcome at The Light with our baby-friendly screenings for them and their babies, aged under one year old.
These screenings are only for parents or carers with babies; members of the general public will not be admitted.
For click here for Baby Friendly listings and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for Baby Friendly announcements.
dementia friendly screenings
These daytime screenings are open to the public, and we particularly invite people with dementia and their carers and families. There are no ads or trailers - so the film starts promptly; lights will be left on low and customers are welcome to move around as necessary. There will also be a 30-minute interval halfway through the film with live entertainment.
Free refreshments - sponsored by Iceland Foods - are served from 10:00.
Tickets are just £5 (and carers are free).
Tickets may be purchased in person at the Box Office, or via our website.
In conjunction with The Dukes Theatre Lancaster: A Life More Ordinary.
